This Just In:
The Pillars of Hell Are Shaking

(Samson visiting the Dagon Temple)
"Do you know about the prophet, Joseph?" Thomas inquired.
"yes, he's one of my favorites; he's the dreamer." the man replied.
"Have you had any dreams of significance?" Thomas asked the son.
"No, but my mother has. . ."
His mother excitedly broke in: "Ever since he was a child I've had dreams of a man in glowing white hugging my son. In the last dream he was crying, and his tears were coming down his beard and on to my son's head. I have such a warmth for this prophet," she continued. "I know he is a prophet."
" I know who that person is in your dream," Thomas said with assurance.
The woman's eyes widened with intense interest. "Who is it?"
"It is Jesus."

  1. Amazing, and wonderful, that in the midst of all they've been through it seems they are being gathered like a flock of sheep that has been ravaged by wolves.

It has been so horrible to hear about what has been happening to Christian families over there; this is Good News, indeed. After your last post, I started to feel a spark of hope that those who are suffering for Christ in the Middle East might mark the beginning of a growth of Christianity. If this account is true, then it would seem so.

  2. Thanks for the post. That is good news. I like to hear stories that challange my confirmation bias as I tend to write off whole regions and peoples as beyond help (because of my being all insular and hermit-like).

  3. I can't really take the credit for it. Joan feeds me the best stuff. Don't know what I'll post after she gets back to work. I might have to write something.

  4. I had some friends I met about 1985 and when we would visit their house, they had one room set aside for prayer. They had an atlas up on the wall. They would literally lay hands on that region as they prayed and weep. I know the husband has passed on, and I have lost track of the wife, but those prayers are eternal.

  5. God bless the missionaries and martyrs who go into commie, muslim and totalitarian controlled countries to spread the Good News!
